Matt Baldwin is a seasoned builder whose journey into the world of home construction began at a very young age. Raised in a household steeped in home building, with a father as a skilled framer and a mother involved in real estate sales, Matt’s upbringing was immersed in the nuances and artistry of crafting homes.

From the summers spent alongside his father, learning the ropes of framing and later branching into decks and renovations, Matt’s passion for building flourished. While attending NC State, he ventured into entrepreneurship early, founding Matt Baldwin Homes while still pursuing his education. His initial triumph came with the construction of his inaugural house, which not only won acclaim with a GOLD award but also sold swiftly during the Triangle Parade of Homes.

Navigating through the challenging times of the recession, Matt stood resilient, continuingly building one or two houses at a time and delving into renovations. However, it was in 2017 when the tides began to turn. Witnessing a surge in home sales, he expanded his team, bringing on a project manager and an office manager, while his reputation as a presale builder grew.

Crafting a name synonymous with quality and integrity, Matt honed his skills in client interaction, fostering a team culture that thrived on continuous improvement. As the company evolved, he relinquished control to nurture a robust team dynamic, acknowledging the strength in shared responsibility and collaboration.

Amanda Bachman joined the team as the New Construction Coordinator, quickly immersing herself in the day-to-day working of the company by seeking innovative ways to enhance business operations. This spirit of proactive enhancement permeated throughout the team, elevating their approach to building through meticulous scheduling, planning, and a streamlined construction management system, fostering smoother client and agent interactions.

Transitioning towards the evolution of MB Homes, Matt emphasizes retaining the essence of a family-oriented company rooted in a successful legacy within the Triangle area. Maintaining a close-knit yet highly efficient team, they currently construct around 30 houses annually, aspiring not only to sustain but also to diversify into new horizons such as development and multi-family housing, all while safeguarding their well deserved reputation.
